Dear Delegates,

It is an honour for me to welcome you all to the Şahinkaya MUN 2026 as your Secretary General. It is a great honour to be able to spend time with you in this prestigious conference as the Secretary General, maybe for the last time in my career. As in my 5th year MUN has always had a dear place in my heart. It was never just another activity i was joining for fun or the awards. It has gifted me with more knowledge on the world we live in, shaped my world perspective, and given me friends that i wouldnt change for the world.

For this year, our exceptional academic teams have selected quite interesting matters that will force you to think from different perspectives, understand the importance of collaboration, and engage in interesting debates. Each of these agendas has been chosen to reflect one of the most important global situations that we face today, calling for innovative solutions and pressing the importance of these problems. I encourage each and every single one of you to get over all the challenges waiting for you, step out of your comfort zones to engage in these important debates with all your confidence and, most importantly, your respect

As we assemble for this exceptional conference, never forget that diplomacy is not just about defending an idea but also about understanding other perspectives, looking at the world through another window, and developing sustainable solutions for a better future. I am excited to see all of your contributions to the success of this conference through your hard work,  dedication, and passion. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing you bring your own excellence to the committees, and I am wishing for this conference to be an unforgettable experience for all of us.
